Motorola has officially introduced its new flagship wearable, the Moto Watch Ultra, at IFA 2026. Moving away from the proprietary software found on standard Moto Watch models, this new smartwatch marks the brand's return to Google's Wear OS ecosystem, delivering enhanced smart features, comprehensive fitness tracking, and cellular capabilities.
Design and Display
Built with a 46mm round stainless steel chassis, the Moto Watch Ultra has a thickness of 12mm and weighs 51 grams. The watch case comes in black and silver finishes, paired with standard 22mm quick-release straps available in silicone and leather. Color options for the straps include Black Beauty, Mountain View, and Nuthatch. It is built to withstand tough environments with IP68 dust and water resistance, a 5ATM rating, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection over the screen.
The device features a 1.5-inch pOLED screen capable of reaching a peak brightness of 2,700 nits, ensuring excellent readability under direct sunlight alongside deep contrast and vibrant visuals.
Performance and Smart Features
Under the hood, the Moto Watch Ultra is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset, backed by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage for music and applications. Operating on Wear OS 6, it provides access to the Google Play Store, Google Wallet, Gemini, and Motorola's Qira AI assistant. Connectivity options include standalone eSIM LTE support for calls and messages, dual-band GPS for precise tracking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
Polar Health Suite and Battery
For health enthusiasts, the smartwatch integrates Polar-backed health technology. It tracks heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), sleep, stress, and recovery. Specific features include Polar Nightly Recharge, Sleep Plus Stages, Serene breathing exercises, and an AI Running Coach.
Power is provided by a 550mAh battery designed for up to two days of active use. Additionally, Motorola states that a quick 15-minute charge offers up to 24 hours of operation.
Expected Price in Nepal and Availability
The Moto Watch Ultra starts at €429 in Europe, with upcoming availability planned for North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. While official release details for Nepal have not been announced, the expected starting price in Nepal is approximately NPR 75,699 if it arrives in the local market.
