Huawei has expanded its health-centric wearable lineup with the global introduction of the Watch D3 alongside the Watch 6 series. Serving as the successor to the Watch D2, the new smartwatch packs advanced health monitoring tools into a slimmer and lighter frame. Measuring 46.5 x 41 x 11.3mm and weighing approximately 40g without the strap, the device features a rectangular form factor equipped with a side rotating crown and a dedicated ECG button. It is available in Mocha Gold, Gold, and Black color variants, featuring a redesigned, narrower mechanical airbag strap for all-day comfort.
Display and Durability
Up front, the smartwatch sports a larger 1.92-inch AMOLED display with a 408 x 408-pixel resolution and a peak brightness reaching up to 3,000 nits, offering crisp visuals and excellent outdoor visibility. It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. However, because of the specialized blood pressure hardware, Huawei advises against using the watch for swimming, diving, showering, or prolonged water exposure.
Health and Fitness Features
The core highlighting capability of the Huawei Watch D3 is its medical-grade blood pressure tracking system, which uses a mechanical micro-airbag and a high-precision pressure sensor. It supports 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) for automated periodic readings throughout the day and night, as well as pre- and post-workout blood pressure checks. In addition, the watch offers ECG measurements, pulse wave arrhythmia detection, heart rate, HRV, stress, and sleep monitoring. The onboard Health Glance tool generates a single report summarizing 11 key biometrics, and users can share health data with family members. It also comes packed with over 100 sports tracking modes.
Battery, Connectivity, and Expected Price in Nepal
Powering the device is a battery that provides up to 6 days of usage under standard conditions, though enabling continuous 24-hour ABPM lowers endurance to roughly 1 day. Charging is handled wirelessly via the bundled Wireless SuperCharger. On the connectivity front, the Watch D3 incorporates Bluetooth 6.0 (compatible with iOS and Android), NFC capabilities, and a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling.
The Huawei Watch D3 has launched internationally with a starting price of GBP 399.99. While local availability details remain unconfirmed, if the smartwatch makes its way to the market, the expected price in Nepal is around NPR 81,699.
