Asus has expanded its laptop lineup in the Nepali market with the release of the Vivobook 15X OLED (2023). Serving as the larger companion to the popular Vivobook 14X series, this new ultrabook brings updated hardware in both Intel and AMD configurations. Here is everything you need to know about its specifications, features, and official market price in Nepal.
Display and Build Quality
The centerpiece of the Vivobook 15X OLED (2023) is its 15.6-inch Full HD OLED screen. Featuring a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate, the 10-bit panel offers vivid visual output with a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It carries Display HDR True Black 600 certification along with PANTONE Validation and TÜV Rheinland certification for eye comfort.
In terms of construction, the laptop combines a metallic lid with a durable plastic base. Despite housing a 15.6-inch screen, it maintains a portable form factor, weighing 1.6 kg and measuring under 18mm in thickness. Furthermore, it meets military-grade MIL-STD-810H standards for extra durability.
Performance and Storage
Under the hood, buyers in Nepal can choose between two processor choices. The AMD variant packs an 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 7730U processor with max boost speeds of up to 4.5 GHz. Alternatively, the Intel model features the 13th Gen Core i7-1360P, offering 12 cores (4 Performance and 8 Efficient), 16 threads, and a peak clock speed of 5.0 GHz.
Both models come equipped with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Depending on the exact configuration, the drive comes in either PCIe Gen 3 or faster Gen 4 speeds.
Battery, Ports, and Connectivity
Powering the laptop is a 3-cell 50Wh Lithium-Ion battery pack. Using the bundled 65W AC power adapter, Asus states that the device can charge from 0 to 60 percent in approximately 49 minutes.
Physical port selection includes three USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, and a combined 3.5mm headphone jack. Wireless connectivity options cover dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.
