Honor has expanded its lineup of budget smartphones with the official global launch of the Honor Play 20C. Arriving just a few months after the Play 20A, this entry-level device keeps the signature secondary rear display while bringing key adjustments in screen size and processing power.
Unique Design and Secondary Display
The standout feature of the Honor Play 20C is its dual-screen design. Alongside the main camera bump on the back sits a 2.01-inch mini touchscreen, giving it a distinctive look in the budget category. This secondary screen lets users conveniently frame selfies using the main camera and capture them with a tap. The phone weighs roughly 214 grams and measures 8.72 mm in thickness. It also offers IP52 basic dust and light splash resistance, coming in Forest Green, Sunrise Gold, and Midnight Black options.
Display and Performance
On the front, the phone carries a 6.78-inch LCD panel, which is slightly smaller than the 6.9-inch screen found on the older Play 20A. It delivers an HD+ resolution of 1576 x 720 pixels, paired with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and up to 600 nits of peak brightness for comfortable indoor viewing.
Under the hood, Honor switched from MediaTek to Unisoc processors. Most configurations run on the Unisoc T610 chipset, though the 4GB + 128GB model upgrades to the slightly better Unisoc T615 SoC. Memory options go up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card. Software is handled by Android 16 (Go edition), tailored for lightweight performance on entry-level hardware.
Camera and Battery Capacity
For photography, the device retains a 13MP primary rear camera (f/2.2) supporting autofocus, 4x digital zoom, and 1080p video recording, along with a 5MP front snapper (f/2.0) for video calls. Powering the handset is a massive 6,000mAh battery equipped with 15W wired charging support.
Price and Availability in Nepal
The Honor Play 20C has launched globally with a base 3GB + 32GB variant starting at USD 110. If this budget dual-display smartphone officially reaches the local market, the expected price of the Honor Play 20C in Nepal is around NPR 16,799.
