Asus has refreshed its popular Vivobook lineup in Nepal for 2024, introducing updated 14-inch models equipped with Intel's Core Series 1 processors. These laptops bring refreshed internal hardware while maintaining the practical design and durability features that the series is known for.
Design and Display Specs
Visually, the 2024 Asus Vivobook 14 carries over the signature look of its predecessors. It retains the familiar cutout badge on the lid, a textured Enter key, and a sturdy chassis built to military-grade endurance standards. The 14-inch model weighs in at a portable 1.4 kg, while its larger 15-inch and 16-inch siblings weigh 1.7 kg and 1.88 kg, respectively. Smaller models come in a variety of vibrant color options, whereas the 16-inch variant is restricted to Silver and Black. Additionally, the device is treated with Asus Antimicrobial Guard to reduce bacterial growth.
For visuals, the Vivobook 14 features a Full HD IPS display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 250 nits. Although international configurations offer higher-end 100% sRGB and 100% Adobe panels, the model currently available in the Nepali market features the baseline 45% NTSC color gamut display.
Performance and Connectivity
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by Intel Core Series 1 CPUs, offering options such as the Core 3 100U, Core 5 120U, and Core 7 150U. These processors are built on the Raptor Lake architecture (Intel 7 process) rather than Meteor Lake, meaning they rely on standard integrated graphics rather than the newer Arc graphics engine.
Memory includes soldered RAM alongside an extra SO-DIMM slot to allow future expansion. For storage, it includes a single M.2 slot supporting an NVMe SSD. The entire laptop range is backed by a 42Wh battery paired with a 45W charger included in the box.
Wireless connectivity relies on single-stream Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Port selection is well-rounded, offering one USB 3.2 Type-C port, two USB 3 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
