SEO Strategist

Executive Search- Merojob is seeking a results-oriented SEO Strategist to drive organic search growth for a high-traffic digital news and media platform. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong on-page tactics to audit platforms, implement optimization strategies, and build sustainable organic traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth technical SEO audits focused on Core Web Vitals, site crawlability, indexing, schema markup, and XML sitemaps.
• Maximize brand presence across Google Search, Google News, Top Stories, and Google Discover.
• Partner with journalists and editorial teams on keyword research, headline optimization, search intent, and SEO-driven content strategy.
• Review existing content assets to identify opportunities for updating, consolidating, or pruning low-performing posts.
• Perform competitive analysis to discover new traffic and visibility gains.
• Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics using Google Search Console, GA4, and specialized SEO software.
• Formulate and execute a practical 3-month roadmap for organic growth.
• Train editorial personnel on SEO best practices and content optimization guidelines.
• Monitor keyword rankings, indexing efficiency, and overall site performance over time.
