Vivo has officially expanded its smartphone lineup in Nepal with the launch of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G. Designed for users seeking long battery life and solid performance, the new mid-ranger brings a giant 7,050mAh battery, a high-resolution 1.5K AMOLED display, and strong IP68/IP69 durability ratings.
Design and Display
Despite carrying a huge battery, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G maintains a relatively slim profile, measuring just 7.99mm in thickness and weighing under 200 grams. The back panel houses a horizontal camera island complete with a dual-camera setup and an aurora ring light. Buyers can choose between two color options: Silk White and Sapphire Blue. For durability, the device comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering high resistance against dust and water immersion.
On the front, the phone sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel featuring a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth navigation. The display supports the P3 wide color gamut, achieves up to 2000 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM), and has a peak brightness capacity of 3000 nits to ensure clear visibility outdoors.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the V80 Lite 5G is driven by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor. It is coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, alongside support for 8GB of virtual extended RAM. To manage thermal output during long gaming sessions, Vivo has equipped the phone with a 3800 mm² Large Vapor Chamber Cooling System.
Software duties are handled by OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. To ensure long-term usability, Vivo promises 3 generations of major OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates.
Camera and Battery
For optics, the smartphone features a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary lens, paired with an aurora ring light. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter housed in the display cutout.
