Motorola is preparing to expand its midrange lineup with the Motorola Edge 70 Neo, serving as the direct successor to last year's Edge 60 Neo. Ahead of its official release in India, a comprehensive leak has revealed key hardware specifications, physical dimensions, and colorways for the upcoming smartphone.
Display and Build Quality
The device is tipped to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K display featuring a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Screen durability will likely be handled by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while an IP64 rating should provide baseline resistance against dust and water splashes. According to the leaked details, the phone measures 8.49mm in thickness, weighs approximately 204 grams, and will come in four distinct Pantone shades: Mountain View, Milky Blue, Sage, and Gray Lilac.
Performance and Software Support
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 70 Neo is rumored to house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. Memory configurations will go up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM alongside 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. On the software side, it is expected to run Android 16 right out of the box. Motorola reportedly plans to offer solid long-term support, promising four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
Camera and Battery Capacity
For photography, the rear setup is expected to feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, alongside a 2MP macro camera and a 3-in-1 light sensor.
A major highlight of the device is its rumored 7,000mAh battery—a notable upgrade from the 5,200mAh capacity seen on the Edge 60 Neo. However, wired charging support is expected to settle at 45W, which is lower than its predecessor's 68W charging capabilities.
Expected Launch and Nepal Availability
While Motorola has confirmed the handset's arrival in India, official pricing and release dates remain unannounced. Its eventual launch in Nepal is currently unconfirmed. If it arrives in the Nepali market, its overall value proposition will depend heavily on its final price tag and real-world efficiency.
