Redmi has officially launched its newest performance-driven smartphone, the Redmi K100, in China. Designed for power users and mobile gamers, the handset introduces top-tier hardware, an extraordinarily large battery, and a smooth high-refresh-rate screen.
Display and Build
The Redmi K100 boasts a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED panel capable of a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and a peak brightness reaching 3,500 nits. Xiaomi has implemented a flat metal frame paired with subtle rounded corners to ensure ergonomic handling. Its flat rear camera housing minimizes interference when playing games horizontally. Color options include Black, Snow White, and Firefly Green.
Performance and Gaming Enhancements
At its core, the phone relies on Qualcomm's flagship 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. To boost graphical output and framerates, Redmi equipped the device with a dedicated D2 display chip. This combo enables 165Hz gameplay across more than 40 titles alongside super-resolution and frame interpolation features. Heat is managed through a 3D circulating cold-pump cooling system paired with a large graphite dissipation sheet. Memory configurations feature LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Software-wise, it ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 4 out of the box and incorporates Super Xiao Ai 2.0 in the Chinese edition.
Camera Setup
Photography on the Redmi K100 is handled by a dual rear camera system. The primary camera uses a 50MP Light Hunter 800 sensor with an f/1.68 aperture, a 1/1.55-inch sensor size, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to reduce handheld motion blur. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor for expansive landscape shots. On the front, a 20MP camera takes care of selfies and video calls.
Battery and Fast Charging
The defining highlight of the Redmi K100 is its massive 10,000mAh battery. According to official lab tests, the power cell delivers up to 2.43 days of standard usage. The handset supports 100W wired fast charging, 27W wired reverse charging to power accessory devices, and bypass charging to route power straight to the phone during gaming sessions to limit heat accumulation.
Price and Availability in Nepal
The entry-level Redmi K100 starts at CNY 3,499 in China, whereas the highest-spec 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version is priced at CNY 4,499. Should the device land in the Nepali market, the starting Redmi K100 price in Nepal is expected to be roughly NPR 84,999.
