Samsung has officially expanded its foldable lineup in Nepal with the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The latest clamshell foldable brings notable upgrades over its predecessor, including a significantly larger cover screen, a thinner design, and enhanced performance capabilities.
Redesigned Cover Screen and Displays
The most eye-catching improvement on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is its cover display, called the FlexWindow. Upgraded from the 3.4-inch screen on the Z Flip 6, the outer display now measures 4.1 inches. This Dynamic AMOLED panel achieves a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Unfolding the device reveals a 6.9-inch main Dynamic AMOLED display, making it the largest inner screen ever featured on a Galaxy Z Flip.
Sleeker Build and Improved Durability
Despite packed features, Samsung reduced the phone's overall thickness. Unfolded, it measures just 6.5mm thick, while folding it reduces the profile to 13.7mm—making it 1.2mm thinner than the Z Flip 6. This was accomplished by waterproofing the internal circuit board directly rather than sealing the entire outer chassis. Weighing 188 grams, the foldable comes equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the cover and back, an Armor Aluminum frame, an IP48 rating, and a 30% smaller yet more durable hinge.
Performance and Software Features
The foldable runs on an Exynos 2500 chip built on a 3nm process, combined with 12GB of RAM standard across all models. For the first time in the Z Flip series, Samsung DeX is officially supported, allowing users to hook up the phone to a monitor for a desktop interface experience.
The FlexWindow offers deeper software integration, running Gemini Live directly without unfolding the handset. This enables voice queries and live camera-sharing assistance. Additionally, the outer display features the Now Bar for real-time task tracking and an adaptive wallpaper clock that wraps around image subjects.
Camera and Battery Upgrades
Camera hardware consists of a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) paired with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. Camera processing is enhanced by the ProVisual Engine, Enhanced Nightography, and 10-bit HDR video recording. FlexWindow selfie tools include real-time filters, a one-handed zoom slider, Dual Preview, and a Portrait Studio feature that transforms pet photos into cartoon illustrations.
Addressing battery concerns, the device packs a 4,300mAh cell—the largest in the Z Flip lineup—rated for up to 31 hours of video playback.
