Samsung has officially introduced the flagship Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in Nepal, alongside the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Designed to deliver an expanded tablet-like experience, this premium book-style foldable brings notable upgrades in display size, processing power, camera capabilities, and battery life.
Sleek Build and Vibrant Displays
Built with Samsung's Advanced Armor Aluminum frame for enhanced durability, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra measures 8.9mm thin when folded and just 4.1mm when open. Weighing 215 grams, it maintains an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. Color choices available include Graphite, Cream, Violet Shadow, and Green Shadow.
For optics and viewing, the device boasts an 8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X main folding screen with a QXGA+ resolution of 2504 x 2256 pixels. On the exterior, there is a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels. Both displays support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Vision Booster, and a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, ensuring exceptional visibility outdoors and optimal multitasking space indoors.
Performance and Software Support
Under the hood, the Fold 8 Ultra is powered by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. Memory options include 12GB or 16GB of RAM paired with up to 1TB of onboard storage. It runs on One UI 9 based on Android 17, with Samsung committing to 7 years of major Android OS and security updates. Built-in Galaxy AI functionality brings tools like Live Translate, Writing Assist, Transcript Assist, and Generative Edit directly to the foldable form factor.
200MP Camera Setup and Battery
The rear of the device features a triple-camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For video calls and selfies, dual 10MP front cameras are embedded—one on the cover screen and one on the inner display.
Keeping everything running is a 5,000mAh battery. Charging options include 45W wired fast charging, 20W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
