Samsung has officially brought the Galaxy S26 Plus to the Nepali market, positioning it as a balanced flagship choice between the base S26 and the top-tier Ultra model. To mark its arrival, Samsung Nepal is offering a limited-time instant cashback of NPR 23,000 on the purchase, along with flexible EMI financing plans spanning up to 24 months.
Design and Display Upgrade
The Samsung Galaxy S26+ features a sleek profile measuring 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3mm and weighing 190 grams, making it slightly thinner than the previous generation. It is built using an Armor Aluminum frame, a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 rear panel, and features an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Visually, it showcases softer corners, flat sides, and a translucent 'Ambient Island' camera module on the back. Available standard colors include Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, Black, and White, while Silver Shadow and Pink Gold remain Samsung online exclusive options.
For viewing, the S26+ gets a notable upgrade over the base model with its 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel offering QHD+ resolution (3120 × 1440). The screen delivers a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, an adaptive refresh rate of 1–120Hz, and an updated mDNIe image processor for 4x greater color accuracy compared to the S25+. It also supports ProScaler AI real-time content upscaling.
Performance and Hardware
In Nepal and most international regions, the phone runs on Samsung's Exynos 2600 chipset (with US and China markets receiving the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5). Compared to the S25+, Samsung attributes a 38% faster NPU, 23% enhanced GPU, and 7% faster CPU to the new Plus model. Heat dissipation has been improved by up to 29% thanks to a redesigned vapor chamber and upgraded thermal interface material. The device comes standard with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
Camera and Battery Life
Camera hardware mirrors the standard S26, incorporating a 50MP (f/1.8, OIS) primary sensor, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultrawide unit, and a 10MP (f/2.4) 3x telephoto camera, alongside a 12MP (f/2.2) front camera. Imaging enhancements include the ProVisual Engine, upgraded Nightography Video with per-sensor noise reduction, Horizontal Lock in Super Steady mode, and refined AI ISP processing. Video capture goes up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps in 10-bit HDR.
Battery capacity stands at 4,900mAh, with Samsung claiming up to 31 hours of video playback. The S26+ supports faster 45W wired charging (reaching around 69% in 30 minutes), 20W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. Out of the box, it operates on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, backed by a 7-year commitment for operating system and security updates.
