Overview and Design
Motorola has expanded its smartphone lineup with the introduction of the Moto G47 Power, a battery-centric adaptation of the regular Moto G47 released earlier this year. Designed for power users who prioritize endurance, this new entry upgrades battery capacity while keeping key hardware like the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 108MP camera, and a 6.67-inch screen intact.
To accommodate the larger power cell, the phone has a slightly thicker and heavier footprint. It measures 8.89mm in thickness and weighs 215g, compared to the base version's 7.9mm and 191g measurements. The device features a plastic frame alongside an acrylic glass or polycarbonate rear panel. It comes in three Pantone-certified colors: Capri, Nautical Blue, and Impenetrable. For physical protection, it offers an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating alongside military-grade certification.
Display and Performance
Up front, the Moto G47 Power sports a 6.67-inch LCD display delivering an HD+ resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches up to 1,050 nits in High Brightness Mode for clear outdoor visibility. Additionally, it incorporates Water Touch technology, allowing users to operate the screen even with wet fingers.
Under the hood, the device relies on the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It comes paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. On the software front, the phone ships with Android 16 with Motorola's Hello UI, including AI features like Circle to Search and Google Gemini integration.
Camera and Battery Capabilities
For photography, the rear camera array consists of a 108MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and 3x lossless zoom capability, alongside a 2MP macro sensor. Front-facing camera duties are handled by an 8MP selfie lens.
The centerpiece of the Moto G47 Power is its huge 7,000mAh battery, which Motorola states can last up to 78 hours on a full charge—well above the standard Moto G47's 5,200mAh unit. The device supports 30W TurboPower fast wired charging as well as 6W reverse wired charging to power other small gadgets.
Expected Price in Nepal and Availability
The Moto G47 Power has debuted in European markets with a price tag of GBP 299.99 for the single 4GB + 128GB trim. While Motorola has not confirmed local launch plans yet, if the device lands in the Nepali market, the expected price of the Moto G47 Power in Nepal is estimated at around NPR 60,899.
