Vivo is actively preparing to expand its V-series lineup with the upcoming Vivo V80, bringing several key upgrades over last year's Vivo V70. The brand has already listed the device on its official website in India with a "Coming Soon" tag, with reports hinting at an official launch during the first week of October. While local availability details remain unconfirmed for now, the Vivo V80 is expected to carry a starting price in Nepal between NPR 89,999 and NPR 99,999 when it officially arrives.
Upgraded ZEISS Cameras and AI Capabilities
Camera capabilities look to be a key selling point for the Vivo V80. The handset is tipped to feature an AI Creative Camera suite packed with over 30 AI effects to quickly edit photos for social media. Additionally, it is expected to debut a Live Sticker Collage tool for combining images and stickers into custom compositions, along with AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 for improved festive and low-light shots.
Hardware-wise, the camera setup will feature a 50MP ZEISS telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom and up to 10x zoom in portrait mode. Video enthusiasts will also get support for 4K cinematic recording.
Massive 7,200mAh Battery and Performance
One of the biggest highlights is the battery department. The Vivo V80 is rumored to pack a huge 7,200mAh battery—marking the largest capacity ever seen on a V-series phone. Vivo aims to offer up to two full days of usage, catering to power users who heavily stream, edit media, or play games. Specific details regarding the chipset and memory configurations have not been shared yet.
Display, Software, and Design
Up front, the device will sport a smooth 120Hz AMOLED screen designed to deliver brighter outdoor visibility while maintaining vibrant color output. Design-wise, the back panel and camera island will closely mirror the Vivo V70, albeit with subtle design tweaks, improved durability, and three color options. On the software front, the V80 will launch running OriginOS 7 based on Android 17, making it among the first V-series smartphones to receive Vivo's next-gen operating system.
