Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 to the Nepali market alongside the Galaxy Watch 9. The new flagship wearable brings significant refinements over its predecessor, including a slimmer physical profile, a massively upgraded battery, and Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Wear Elite processor.
Sleeker Design and Ultra-Bright Display
Retaining its signature cushion-shaped aesthetic, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 unifies the case, display, and bezel into a single seamless form. Built around a 47mm titanium chassis, the watch measures 47.4 x 47.1 x 10.7mm and weighs approximately 61.5 grams. It is 12% thinner than the original Ultra model, coming in at under 11mm in thickness. Durability remains top-tier with IP69K dust and water resistance, 10ATM depth rating, EN13319 dive certification, and MIL-STD-810H military standards. The stock Marine Band has also been trimmed from 2.9mm to 1.9mm (about 25% lighter) and features an Air Pocket design to allow sweat and water to drain quickly.
On the display front, it packs a 1.52-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 498 x 498 pixels. The panel hits an impressive 5,000 nits of peak brightness—a significant leap from last generation's 3,000 nits and the brightest ever on a Galaxy Watch. Navigation is assisted by three physical buttons, including a distinct orange Quick Button for glove-friendly use.
Upgraded Chipset and Battery Life
Under the hood, Samsung has replaced the Exynos W1000 with the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, delivering a 30% bump in CPU performance and a 20% boost in GPU power. Running One UI 9 Watch over Wear OS 7, navigation and app execution are noticeably snappier.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 carries an 800mAh battery, marking a 35% size increase over the original model. Users can expect up to 60 hours of battery life with Always-On Display enabled. Fast charging allows the watch to gain up to 40% battery in just 30 minutes.
Health Intelligence and Smart Gestures
Health and fitness tools see major expansions. Joining existing Galaxy AI tools like Energy Score are new metrics including Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index, expanded Vitals tracking, and FDA-cleared Sleep Apnea detection. It also supports Blood Pressure Trend monitoring (with periodic cuff calibration) and an animal-themed Sleep Coaching program. Interaction is made easier with a new 'Raise to Talk' gesture for Google Gemini, letting you trigger the AI assistant simply by lifting the watch to your mouth.
In terms of connectivity, the watch offers Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), dual-band GPS (L1+L5), NFC, and LTE support, allowing full functionality even when separated from a smartphone.
