OnePlus has officially expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of the OnePlus Buds Clip, marking the company's debut in the clip-style open-ear earbud segment. Designed for all-day comfort and situational awareness, these wireless earbuds feature audio tuning by Dynaudio, long battery life, and advanced AI noise reduction features.
Ergonomic Open-Ear Design
Unlike traditional in-ear monitors, the OnePlus Buds Clip use an open-ear design that clips securely around the ear rather than sitting inside the ear canal. Built with a flexible nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) C-bridge, each earbud weighs only 5.2 grams and holds a TUV Rheinland Comfortable Fit certification. The earbuds come in three color options: Pearl White, Pebble Gray, and Twilight Rose.
Adding to convenience, the earbuds feature automatic left/right ear detection, automatically adjusting audio channels regardless of which side you wear them on. Users can also operate a single earbud independently. For durability, the earbuds carry an IP55 rating against dust and water splashes, though the charging case lacks this protection.
Dynaudio Sound and Leakage Reduction
Under the hood, the earbuds employ a dual-driver system comprising an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter. Each driver has its own dedicated DAC, tuned in partnership with Danish sound expert Dynaudio to deliver crisp highs and deep bass. Wireless audio support includes AAC, SBC, and high-resolution LHDC 5.0 (for compatible Android devices, excluding iPhones).
To tackle sound leakage typical of open-ear audio, OnePlus integrates Dipole Sound-Field technology, which utilizes reverse sound waves to keep music private.
AI-Powered Calling and Smart Connectivity
For voice calls, the Buds Clip house six microphones, a dedicated 6nm AI audio chip, and AI Bone Call technology that detects vocal vibrations to filter background noise. Select OnePlus smartphones also get access to AI Translate functionality.
Connectivity is backed by Bluetooth 6.1 alongside dual-device multipoint pairing. Combined with the charging case, the earbuds deliver up to 40 hours of total battery runtime in AAC mode.
Expected Price in Nepal
The OnePlus Buds Clip is expected to hit the Nepali market with an estimated price tag of NPR 32,999.
