Apple has officially expanded its smart home lineup with the launch of the Apple HomeView. Designed as a central hub for entertainment, video calls, Siri AI assistance, and smart home control, this all-in-one device combines a crisp display with powerful audio and intelligent features.
Design and Display
The HomeView features an aluminum base, a stainless steel adjustable hinge, and a domed speaker housing. It is crafted to fit seamlessly on kitchen counters, nightstands, or living room tables. Apple offers the tabletop version in four color options: Silver, Starlight, Rose Pink, and Space Gray. A distinct wall-mounted variant is also available in Silver and Space Gray.
On the front, the device sports a square 7-inch Liquid Retina IPS panel with a resolution of 1088 × 1088 pixels. The screen supports multi-touch and True Tone technology. It reaches up to 500 nits of peak brightness for well-lit environments and can dim down to 0.3 nits for night use on a bedside table. Additionally, the display includes a proximity-aware interface that adjusts context depth—showing basic information from a distance and revealing detailed controls as you move closer.
Performance and Software
Underneath, the device runs on Apple’s A18 chip, bringing fast performance for video calling, UI navigation, and Apple Intelligence tasks. Running Apple's smart home software, Siri is deeply integrated with AI capabilities. The voice assistant handles recipe guidance, multi-timer setups, reminders, and everyday queries. When linked to an iPhone or iPad running iOS 27.2 or iPadOS 27.2 or later, Siri delivers personal context from apps like Calendar and Messages, with seamless Handoff support across devices.
Camera, Audio, and Connectivity
For communication, the HomeView carries a 12MP Center Stage camera that automatically frames subjects during FaceTime calls. A four-microphone array cuts background noise while capturing clear audio from across the room. The built-in speaker system supports both Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, Thread, and AirPlay.
Price and Availability in Nepal
In the US, the Apple HomeView is priced starting at USD 299. When it lands in the domestic market, the Apple HomeView is expected to cost around NPR 64,999 in Nepal.
