Lenovo has expanded its laptop offerings in the Nepali market with the release of the IdeaPad Pro 5 (2024). Designed to deliver high-performance computing for power users and creators, this updated model brings a strong mix of recent silicon from both AMD and Intel, alongside high-res display options and dedicated graphics power.
Performance and Hardware Configuration
Under the hood, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 2024 provides two high-tier CPU options. Users can choose an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor featuring 8 cores, 16 threads, and boost speeds up to 5.1 GHz, or opt for the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, which offers 16 cores, 32 threads, and a 5.1 GHz boost clock.
For graphical workloads, the laptop is outfitted with either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 or an RTX 4050 GPU, both coming with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The system incorporates 16GB or 32GB of soldered dual-channel LPDDR5x RAM rated at 6400MHz. High-speed storage is provided via a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
Build, Design, and Display Options
Built using an aluminum chassis finished in Arctic Grey, the laptop balances durability with portability. It maintains a slim profile measuring 15.99mm in thickness and weighs 1.46kg.
Display configurations come in two sizes: a 14-inch 2.8K (2880x1800) OLED screen and a 16-inch 2K (2048x1280) panel. Both screen choices offer full color coverage spanning 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut alongside a peak brightness of 400 nits.
Battery Life, Audio, and Connectivity
Powering the device is an 84Wh battery, supported by a 140W USB-C power adapter for charging. Additional internal hardware highlights include a backlit keyboard, an IR camera with Windows Hello support for biometric logins, and Dolby Atmos speakers.
In terms of port selection, the laptop provides USB-A, USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 support, HDMI 2.1, a standard audio jack, and a full-size SD card reader. Wireless connectivity covers both WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 standards.
