Following the release of its standard 2026 LOQ lineup, Lenovo has expanded its gaming portfolio with the introduction of the LOQ Essential series. Targeted at budget-conscious gamers, this edition offers accessible gaming performance at a lower price point, featuring streamlined design choices and a lower GPU TGP compared to the regular LOQ variants.
Design and Display
The Lenovo LOQ 15 Essential (2026) sports a clean, minimalist aesthetic featuring a Luna Grey finish with a centered LOQ logo on the display lid. Eschewing flashy RGB lighting and aggressive gaming accents, the device presents a subtle, professional look suited for both casual use and gaming.
For visuals, it comes equipped with a 15.6-inch Full HD (FHD) IPS anti-glare screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel offers 300 nits of peak brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. It also incorporates AMD FreeSync technology to prevent screen tearing, though NVIDIA G-SYNC support is not present.
Performance and Hardware
Underneath, the laptop runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 170 processor from the Ryzen 100 series (codenamed "Rembrandt-R"). Built on 8 "Zen 3+" cores and 16 threads, it reaches a maximum boost clock of up to 4.75 GHz—serving as an updated refresh of the previous Ryzen 7 7735HS and Ryzen 7 6800HS CPUs.
For graphics, the laptop features the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 GPU paired with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM, capable of running 1080p games at medium to high settings. As part of the Essential lineup, the GPU operates at a 65W Total Graphics Power (TGP). Memory and storage duties are handled by 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Battery, Audio, and Connectivity
Power is provided by a 60Wh battery supported by a 135W AC power adapter. Physical connectivity options include two USB-A ports (5Gbps), one USB-C port (5Gbps), an HDMI 2.1 port, an Ethernet (RJ45) connector, and a 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack. Wireless connectivity is backed by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Audio output is managed by dual 2W speakers enhanced with Nahimic 3D Audio.
Price in Nepal
The Lenovo LOQ 15 Essential (2026) is now available in Nepal at an official price of NPR 202,999 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration.
