Overview and Design
ASUS's authorized distributor in Nepal, Nagmani International, has officially introduced the ASUS Vivobook 15X OLED (X1503ZA) to the local market. Tailored for students, office professionals, and everyday users, this 15-inch notebook offers an affordable entry into high-quality OLED displays. Despite its screen size, the laptop weighs roughly 1.70 kg and meets MIL-STD 810H military-grade standards for durability. In Nepal, it is offered exclusively in the Quiet Blue color variant.
Vivid OLED Display
The core highlight of the Vivobook 15X is its 60Hz OLED display panel. It delivers up to 600 nits of peak HDR brightness, full 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, Pantone validation, and HDR True Black 600 certification. These display features make it an attractive option for streaming media, everyday viewing, and light content creation.
Performance and Hardware
Under the hood, the base model runs on a 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1220P processor, which packs 10 cores with a base frequency of 1.1 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.4 GHz, paired with integrated Intel UHD graphics. For higher demand, there is also a higher-tier variant featuring an Intel Core i5-12500H processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. In comparative testing using Cinebench R23 against newer chips like the Core i5-1335U, the i3-1220P delivers comparable multi-core performance, making it well-suited for everyday multitasking and standard office workloads.
For memory and storage, the laptop comes equipped with 8GB of DDR4 onboard RAM alongside a spare DDR4 SO-DIMM slot for expansion. Storage is handled by a 256GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD.
Battery, Connectivity, and Features
Powering the laptop is a large 70Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery, supported by a 65W power adapter included in the box. Physical ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, an HDMI output, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.
