HP's popular budget-oriented gaming laptop line has received its latest update as the HP Victus 15 (2024) makes its debut in the Nepali market. Combining AMD's latest processing hardware with NVIDIA graphics, this modern gaming machine brings dependable performance for local gamers and creative users.
Familiar Aesthetic and Smooth Display
Visually, the 2024 iteration of the HP Victus 15 maintains the design language of previous generations. It features a wide central hinge with subtle gaps near the edges and displays the signature bold "V" emblem on the lid. The laptop is available locally in the Mica Silver colorway, though global markets also receive Ceramic White and Performance Blue variants.
For visuals, the device carries a 15.6-inch IPS LCD panel with an anti-glare finish and Full HD resolution. Designed to handle fast-paced gaming, the screen offers a fluid 144Hz refresh rate alongside a peak brightness rating of 250 nits.
Hardware Performance and Upgradability
Under the hood, the standard variant released in Nepal relies on the AMD Ryzen 5 8645HS processor. Built with 6 cores and 12 threads, this chip can boost up to a clock speed of 5.0 GHz. Graphics responsibilities are handled by dedicated NVIDIA GPUs—buyers can choose between an RTX 3050 with 6GB VRAM or an RTX 4050 with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
The CPU and GPU pairing is backed by 16GB of high-speed DDR5-5600 RAM and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD for fast storage access. While higher configurations internationally offer up to 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD capacity, the Nepali model is likely to support user upgrades up to those same thresholds.
Battery, Power, and I/O Connectivity
Energy is supplied by a 70Wh internal battery, paired with a 200W AC adapter bundled in the box. Physical connectivity is well catered for, offering two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, an SD card reader, an HDMI port, and an integrated audio combo jack. For wireless connections, the laptop supports modern Wi-Fi 6 alongside Bluetooth v5.3.
