Lenovo has refreshed its entry-level laptop lineup in Nepal with the introduction of the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (2025). Designed primarily for students, casual users, and everyday buyers needing a reliable machine for basic computing tasks, this budget-friendly notebook brings modern Intel hardware into a lightweight form factor.
Design and Display
Drawing design inspiration from the older IdeaPad Slim 3 series, the IdeaPad 1 (2025) carries a portable build weighing roughly 1.62 kg, making it easy to carry around in a backpack. Buyers can choose from three color variants: Abyss Blue, Cloud Grey, and Sand.
For visual output, the laptop equips a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS screen featuring 300 nits of brightness. The display covers 45% of the NTSC color gamut, which is adequate for streaming videos, browsing the web, and working on documents or basic color work.
Performance and Hardware Specs
Under the hood, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 is powered by an Intel 13th Generation "Raptor Lake" Core i5-1335U processor. Equipped with 10 cores and 12 threads, the CPU can boost up to 4.6 GHz. It handles everyday software, online classes, and light video editing smoothly. Graphics are handled by integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics, providing reasonable performance for casual gaming and lightweight workloads.
Memory options start with 8GB of RAM soldered directly to the system board alongside a 256GB base storage drive. Users can also opt for higher memory and storage configurations, such as up to 16GB RAM or a 512GB storage expansion.
Connectivity, Battery, and Price in Nepal
For wireless connections, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The physical port setup includes one USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 1.4b port, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, and a microSD card slot.
The machine runs on a 42Wh battery and includes a 65W charging adapter in the box. In Nepal, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (2025) starts at an official price of NPR 101,999 for the 16GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. It is available for purchase through retail laptop stores nationwide.
