Honor has officially unveiled the Honor Win Pad in China alongside the Win 2 series, marking the brand's entry into dedicated gaming tablets. Designed specifically for high-end mobile gaming, this compact tablet combines performance-focused hardware with active internal cooling.
Compact High-Refresh OLED Display and Sleek Build
The Honor Win Pad comes equipped with an 8.4-inch OLED panel featuring a 2,304 × 1,440 resolution and a rapid refresh rate of up to 240Hz. It also offers 165Hz and 185Hz display modes depending on supported titles. Honor highlights a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits and a 93% screen-to-body ratio. The tablet features a metal body measuring 6.1mm in thickness and weighing roughly 315 grams, engineered for comfortable handling during long gaming sessions.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Active Fan Cooling
Powering the tablet is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, manufactured on a 3nm process. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. To manage thermal throttling under load, the device incorporates a built-in cooling fan operating at up to 15,000RPM, paired with a dual vapor-chamber cooling system. Honor states this setup can drop surface temperatures by up to 8°C under test conditions. The fan includes dynamic lighting effects and supports both automatic and manual speed controls.
Gaming Software, Battery, and Audio Specs
The tablet runs MagicOS 11 based on Android 17 and includes Honor's Geek Center software, which allows users to tweak CPU/GPU performance, adjust memory, set power limits, and save custom profiles using a Full Throttle mode. Haptic feedback is delivered via dual X-axis linear vibration motors, while media audio is driven by a quad-speaker setup.
A massive 10,000mAh battery provides power, supporting 66W fast wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging to top up other devices. It also supports bypass charging (separate charge and discharge modes) to minimize heat buildup while playing games plugged in. For cameras, the tablet carries a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
Availability and Expected Price in Nepal
Following its release in China, details on global rollout remain to be confirmed. Nepali tech enthusiasts can expect updates on local launch timelines and expected pricing once official distribution channels confirm regional availability.
