Samsung has officially introduced its latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S12+, alongside the top-tier Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. The new Plus model offers premium features, including a stunning 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, MediaTek's top-of-the-line processor, long-lasting battery life, and out-of-the-box Galaxy AI capabilities.
Design and Display
Despite housing a generous 12.6-inch screen, the Tab S12+ maintains an ultra-slim 5.3mm profile. It weighs 553 grams for the Wi-Fi variant and 555 grams for the 5G model. Designed for durability, it comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and is offered in Gray and Silver color choices.
The front panel boasts a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a sharp resolution of 2,800 x 1,752 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It achieves up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness (1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode) and incorporates Samsung Vision Booster technology for clear outdoor viewing. Additionally, an S Pen is included in the box for drawing and note-taking, though it lacks Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the tablet runs on MediaTek's flagship 3nm Dimensity 9500 chipset, backed by a 3D vapor chamber cooling system for enhanced thermal management under heavy loads. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and options for 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
On the software front, the Galaxy Tab S12+ ships with Android 17-based One UI 9, complete with integrated Galaxy AI productivity features. Samsung commits to 7 major OS upgrades alongside 7 years of security patches for this device.
Battery, Camera, and Audio
Powering the tablet is a massive 10,600mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging. For photos and video calls, the setup includes a single 13MP rear shooter and a 12MP ultrawide front camera. Audio is delivered via a quad-speaker system supporting four-channel spatial sound.
