The Institute of Engineering (IOE) under Tribhuvan University (TU) has published the official fee structure for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs for the upcoming academic year 2082/2083. This updated fee arrangement applies to all constituent campuses operating under IOE.
Fee System and Student Categories
The prescribed fee structure varies according to the admission category of the candidate, divided into Regular (scholarship), Full Fee, and Foreign Student brackets:
1. Regular Category: Students receiving regular scholarship seats benefit from subsidized rates, paying the lowest fees among all tiers.
2. Full-Fee Category: Students enrolled under full-fee seats pay higher rates than regular scholarship students. However, tuition costs across IOE constituent campuses remain significantly lower than those charged by private engineering colleges affiliated with various universities in Nepal.
3. Foreign Students: International applicants fall under a distinct fee tier and are required to pay higher fees compared to both regular and full-fee domestic students.
Specific Fee Provisions
In addition to standard academic charges, candidate-specific conditions apply for certain fee components:
TU Registration Fee: This fee is required only for students who are enrolling in Tribhuvan University for the first time. Candidates who are already registered with TU do not need to pay this fee.
Hostel Maintenance Fund: This charge applies exclusively to students who secure accommodation in the campus hostel facilities.
Prospective students planning to pursue engineering or architecture degrees at TU IOE constituent campuses for the 2082/83 academic year should refer to these guidelines when planning their admission process.
