HP's 2025 lineup of the OmniBook 5 Flip convertible laptop has officially entered the Nepali market. Designed as a flexible 2-in-1 notebook, the device offers a choice of two processors from Intel's Series 1 family. Here is a complete breakdown of its design, features, technical specifications, and official pricing in Nepal.
Versatile Design and Display
The OmniBook 5 Flip features a 360-degree hinge, allowing it to easily transform into traditional laptop, tent, stand, or tablet modes. It weighs approximately 1.62 kg and incorporates eco-friendly elements, utilizing post-consumer recycled plastic alongside recycled metal for the lid, hinge, and keyboard frame. The display supports a rechargeable stylus pen, though it is sold separately and is currently unavailable locally. For visuals, both variants feature a 14-inch 2K (1920x1200) IPS touch screen operating at a standard 60Hz refresh rate, delivering 300 nits of peak brightness and 62.5% sRGB color gamut coverage.
Intel Series 1 Performance and Hardware
The laptop comes in two hardware configurations based on Intel's Series 1 architecture:
The base edition houses the Intel Core 5 120U CPU, configured with 10 cores, 12 threads, and a max turbo frequency of 5.0 GHz, tuned primarily for power efficiency. This model is bundled with 8GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM.
The higher-tier edition is powered by the Intel Core 7 150U CPU, offering 10 cores, 12 threads, and an increased boost speed of 5.4 GHz for demanding tasks. This build comes with 16GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM. Since memory is soldered to the board on both models, future RAM expansion is not possible. Storage for both variants is handled by a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
Connectivity, Battery, and Pricing in Nepal
Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. For physical ports, the laptop provides two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone audio jack. Battery backup relies on a 68Wh unit, which includes a 45W power adapter in the box.
The official price of the HP OmniBook 5 Flip in Nepal starts at NPR 114,999 for the Intel Core 5 (8GB/512GB) configuration. The top-end Intel Core 7 (16GB/512GB) variant carries a price tag of NPR 165,999. Both variants are available through authorized retail channels across the country.
