Bill Tabled for New Health Sciences Academy

The registration of this academy bill comes alongside a major legislative initiative in the health and social sectors. Just a day prior, on Ashoj 5, the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene registered three other crucial legislative measures: the Health Workers and Health Institutions Security (Second Amendment) Bill, the Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights (First Amendment) Bill, and the Infant Formula, Breast Milk Substitutes and Other Related Products (Control of Sale and Distribution) (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

According to updates from the Federal Parliament Secretariat, a total of 10 bills were submitted between Ashoj 1 and Ashoj 6, covering key sectors such as education, public health, social security, and infrastructure development.
Other notable proposals introduced during this six-day timeframe include the Diploma Engineering Council Bill, 2083, the National Defence University Bill, 2083, the Free Legal Aid Bill, and the Solid Waste Management Bill. Furthermore, the parliament received legislation aimed at protecting social security as well as the rights of women, children, and gender and sexual minorities.
