Tribhuvan University (TU) has published faculty-wise lists of affiliated campuses and colleges that have met the minimum criteria required to introduce new academic programs and subjects. The published lists encompass bachelor’s and master’s level courses across the Faculty of Management, Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Education, including Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) courses.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Window
According to the Planning Directorate under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the selected institutions achieved at least 60 marks during feasibility studies and evaluations conducted by respective dean's offices based on prescribed university criteria.
Qualified colleges must submit their online applications using the prescribed format between Mangsir 1 and 15, 2083. Applicants are permitted to prioritize up to two new programs or subjects, in addition to requests for extra sections or student seats. The chosen priority order cannot be modified once submitted.
Program Details and Special Instructions
The updated eligibility lists feature 174 colleges for BBA, 103 for BIT, 97 for B.Sc. CSIT, and 70 for BCA. Various other courses in hospitality, management, general science, microbiology, humanities, and education are also included. Final program approval remains subject to formal processing.
Regarding 71 earlier B.Sc. CSIT applications, TU specified that existing affiliated colleges that reapplied will move forward under existing reports and criteria, whereas those that did not reapply will face fresh feasibility assessments and monitoring. However, applications seeking entirely new college affiliations under this category will be cancelled, as TU currently has no plans to grant fresh affiliations and is focusing solely on expanding programs in existing affiliated campuses. Colleges with pending requests in the Faculty of Education should contact the respective Dean’s Office directly.
Verification and Regulatory Warning
TU has warned that program approvals will be cancelled if an institution provides misleading details or breaches rules. Evaluators who award marks based on inaccurate data may also face administrative action. The Executive Council holds full authority to alter, correct, or revoke any published decisions if required.
