MSI has officially brought its latest Cyborg 15 AI (2024) gaming laptop to the Nepali market. Featuring Intel's latest Core Ultra processors and dedicated AI processing hardware, this portable gaming rig combines futuristic aesthetics with modern performance features.
Performance and AI Capabilities
At its core, the laptop relies on the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, manufactured on the Intel 4 process node. It features a 16-core configuration (6 Performance and 8 Efficient cores) with 22 threads and boost speeds reaching up to 4.8GHz. Integrated Intel Arc GPU graphics provide up to twice the performance compared to previous Iris Xe graphics. A dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) powers AI tasks, working alongside Intel AI Boost and MSI's proprietary AI Engine to optimize system resources dynamically.
Graphics, Memory, and Design
For discrete graphics, buyers can choose between NVIDIA's RTX 4050 and RTX 4060 GPUs. The 8GB GDDR6 RTX 4060 model (A1VFK) available in Nepal operates at a restricted 45W TGP with Dynamic Boost. Expandability includes two DDR5 RAM slots supporting up to 96GB at 5600MHz and a single M.2 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD slot.
Visually, the Cyborg 15 AI features a semi-translucent chassis, 4-zone RGB keyboard, top webcam notch, and custom branded air vents. Weighing under 2 kg, it features a 15.6-inch Full HD (16:9) IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Battery, Ports, and Pricing in Nepal
The laptop carries a 54Wh battery charged via a 120W power adapter. I/O includes a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort support, two USB 3 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, dual 2W speakers with DTS audio, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
