HONOR has officially introduced its latest smartwatch, the HONOR Watch 6 Pro, in China. Arriving shortly after the release of the Magic 9 series—which includes the standard Magic 9 and the top-tier Magic 9 Pro Max—the Watch 6 Pro upgrades the baseline Watch 6 experience with a refined design and an array of sophisticated wellness tools.
Premium Build and Dual-Layer Display
Retaining a classic circular smartwatch silhouette, the HONOR Watch 6 Pro measures 46.3 x 46.3 x 11.6mm. It features a durable stainless steel body, with select variants offering a two-tone ceramic finish. HONOR fuses this ceramic onto the metallic frame at 1,400°C to deliver superior resistance against wear compared to conventional painted surfaces.
On the front, the wearable boasts a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The dual-layer architecture is designed to boost brightness while keeping power consumption low. The screen reaches 4,500 nits of global brightness and up to 5,500 nits in localized active areas, providing excellent legibility under direct sunlight. It also supports touch inputs with wet fingers, making it practical during intense workouts or swimming sessions.
Advanced Medical Metrics and Fitness Tracking
Health monitoring is a major highlight of the Watch 6 Pro. The smartwatch offers 24/7 Heart Rate Variability (HRV) tracking along with a second-generation blood pressure monitoring system. It also supports Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) when paired with a compatible device. Safety is further enhanced by a new cardiac arrest detection feature that alerts users and offers escalating emergency assistance if a pulse drop is identified.
For athletic tracking, the smartwatch includes specialized modes for trail running, football, badminton, and swimming. Location tracking relies on HONOR's Polaris positioning system, which uses dual-frequency positioning and a three-antenna layout for consistent tracking in dense urban areas. The system supports up to 21 hours of continuous GPS operation.
Battery Endurance and Pricing
The device packs a 500mAh battery cell. Despite having a smaller battery capacity than the standard Watch 6's 980mAh unit, power optimization allows solid endurance. HONOR claims up to 7 days of battery life with Always-On Display (AOD) turned on, up to 4 days with all health tracking features enabled, and up to 18 days in maximum battery saver mode.
The HONOR Watch 6 Pro has debuted in China with a starting price of CNY 1,600. Details regarding its official launch date and final pricing in Nepal are expected to be announced soon.
