Finding a reliable budget notebook under Rs. 70,000 in Nepal often requires balancing performance and price. In 2026, buyers can find competitive options featuring 13th Gen Intel chips or AMD Ryzen 7000-series processors. Within this price category, standard configurations generally top out at 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of SSD storage, providing sufficient power for online classes, document editing, and multimedia playback.
Acer Aspire Go 15
The Acer Aspire Go 15 features an Intel Core 3 N355 processor alongside 8GB of DDR5 RAM and a 256GB SSD. It handles general day-to-day work, web browsing, and basic multitasking smoothly. Unlike some competitors, its DDR5 memory can be upgraded later, though the 256GB base storage may eventually require an expansion for larger files.
For display, it offers a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen with a matte finish and a standard 60Hz refresh rate, offering better viewing angles than typical TN displays. Weighing roughly 1.72kg, it houses a 53Wh battery capable of supplying around 6 to 7 hours of use.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15AMN8
Powered by the AMD Ryzen 3 30 CPU (a rebranded version of the Ryzen 3 7320U), the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 comes paired with 8GB of RAM. The memory is soldered directly to the board, meaning standard RAM upgrades are not supported. Weighing about 1.62kg, it remains portable enough for students carrying it daily.
The laptop utilizes a 15.6-inch Full HD TN panel delivering 250 nits brightness, an anti-glare finish, and 45% NTSC color accuracy. While sufficient for office documents and web browsing, it is less suited for color-accurate work like photo editing.
Acer Aspire Lite 14
Equipped with an 8-core Intel Core i3-N355 processor featuring a boost speed up to 3.9GHz, the Acer Aspire Lite 14 includes 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a fast 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
A primary highlight is its 14-inch WUXGA IPS screen featuring a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The taller display offers additional vertical space, making document reading and web navigation more convenient for daily use.
