Technical Coordinator - Shelter and Engineering

Habitat for Humanity International Nepal is seeking a dedicated and qualified Technical Coordinator - Shelter and Engineering to support its housing and community development initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring that all shelter construction and engineering interventions adhere to safety standards, technical guidelines, and disaster-resilience principles across project locations in Nepal.

The Technical Coordinator will work closely with project teams, local partners, and technical specialists to oversee shelter designs, monitor site implementation, and deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions tailored to local community needs.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing technical oversight and guidance for shelter and infrastructure activities.
• Ensuring construction projects comply with structural safety protocols, building codes, and organizational standards.
• Conducting regular field visits, site assessments, and quality control inspections.
• Collaborating with local authorities, engineering partners, and community stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
• Preparing comprehensive technical documentation, progress reports, and monitoring updates.
• Supporting technical training and capacity-building efforts for local builders and project staff.
