Job Description

An established Australian mortgage and finance brokerage based in Melbourne, operating across Melbourne, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, is seeking a dedicated Australian Broker Support Officer. This role focuses on post-settlement loan servicing and acting as the team's key resource for lender policy and product knowledge.

Working alongside the Principal Broker in Melbourne and loan file owners, you will maintain long-term client relationships and ensure upcoming loan scenarios comply with current lender guidelines before reaching the broker. Core responsibilities include:

  • Loan Servicing & Client Maintenance: Oversee fixed-rate rollover tracking, conduct back-book pricing reviews, manage loan structure changes (splits, offset, redraw, IO to P&I), coordinate variations and top-ups, and perform ongoing client check-ins to support client retention.
  • Lender Policy & Product Guidance: Research lender guidelines for diverse client profiles, run serviceability calculations using Quickli and lender calculators, track weekly policy/rate updates, and liaise with lender BDMs.
  • Application & Settlement Backup: Provide operational assistance during high-volume periods by verifying documentation, clearing approval conditions, ordering valuations, and helping coordinate settlements.
  • Compliance & Records: Maintain precise file notes in the CRM while adhering to privacy rules, client identification protocols, and best-interests duty requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in Australian mortgage broking support, loan processing, servicing, or credit analysis.
  • Solid understanding of the Australian residential lending lifecycle, credit policies, serviceability calculations, and key loan features (offset, redraw, loan splits, fixed/variable rates).
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills for clear interaction with Australian clients, lenders, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to follow established processes consistently.
  • Fully equipped work-from-home setup featuring high-speed internet, power/connectivity backup, a computer, a headset, and a quiet working environment.
  • Availability to work an early Nepal shift aligned with Melbourne business hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Prior experience with Australian broker tools (e.g., Quickli, ApplyOnline, AFG FLEX, SalesTrekker, BrokerEngine) or lender portals is highly desirable.
  • A Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking is advantageous.
