ZTE is expanding its entry-level smartphone portfolio in Nepal with the upcoming ZTE A37e. The phone sports an updated design featuring a flat frame, rounded corners, and a clean rear layout. Built with a seamless unibody structure, the frame and back panel integrate smoothly for an elevated look. It comes in three color finishes: Silver Grey, Ice Blue, and Cosmic Orange.
On the front, the ZTE A37e has a 6.52-inch HD+ panel offering a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, suitable for everyday media consumption and browsing. Notably, the screen supports ZTE's Wet & Oily Hand Touch technology, ensuring touch inputs remain accurate even if your fingers are damp or greasy.
Performance and Software
Powering the ZTE A37e is a 1.6GHz octa-core processor. The device comes with 3GB of physical RAM, supported by ZTE's memory fusion technology, which can allocate up to 5GB of virtual memory to deliver up to 8GB of Dynamic RAM for smoother multitasking. Storage options go up to 128GB, with an option for 64GB as seen in select regions, and expansion is supported via a microSD card slot.
Out of the box, the ZTE A37e runs on Android 16, bringing the current Android operating system to an affordable price point.
Cameras, Battery, and Connectivity
For photography and media, the smartphone features a straightforward setup. It relies on an 8MP rear camera capable of recording up to 1080p video, while a 5MP front camera handles selfies and video calling. For security, the phone relies on AI Face Recognition.
The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery charged via a USB Type-C port. Additional connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a retained 3.5mm headphone jack.
Expected Price and Availability in Nepal
The ZTE A37e has already debuted in select overseas regions, such as the Philippines, where the 3GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at PHP 6,299 (roughly equivalent to NPR 15,499). ZTE is expected to make the phone officially available in Nepal soon.
