Vivo has expanded its battery-focused lineup in China with the release of the new Vivo Y600i. Following the China-exclusive Y500i and the standard Y500 (which previously reached Nepal), this latest entry places endurance at the forefront with a giant power capacity paired with a high-refresh-rate screen.
Design and Durability
The Vivo Y600i features a micro-curved anti-fingerprint frame and an aerospace-grade aluminum camera housing. It measures 169.55 × 79.20 × 8.79mm and weighs 229 grams. Color choices include Stardust, Sky Blue, and Midnight Black. Built to handle harsh conditions, the handset boasts IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings alongside an SGS five-star drop-resistance certification.
Display and Hardware
Up front, the device houses a 6.87-inch LCD panel offering a 1592 × 720-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness hits up to 1,300 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). To reduce eye strain during extended use, the screen incorporates DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland-certified low-blue-light hardware.
Under the hood, performance remains steady with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, carried over from the Y500i. It is paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Memory-fusion technology enables up to 12GB of extended RAM, and storage can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card. On the software side, it runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, utilizing Atomic Motion Effects 6.0 and the Blue River Fluency Engine, which Vivo claims ensures up to 50 months of smooth performance.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the rear features a single 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, while the front gets an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 lens. Camera modes include Portrait Mode, Dynamic Photo, and location/time watermark overlays.
The headline feature is its massive 8,000mAh battery, upgrading the 7,200mAh capacity found on the Y500i. It supports 44W wired fast charging as well as wired reverse charging to power other gadgets. Lab tests show up to 25 hours of short-video viewing, 16 hours of continuous navigation, or 57 hours of audio playback. Vivo states the battery maintains over 80% capacity even after 1,500 charge cycles.
Pricing and Availability
In China, the Vivo Y600i starts at CNY 1,699 for the 6GB + 128GB version, while the 6GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 1,999. Official Chinese sales begin on September 30, 2026. Vivo has not officially announced a release date or local pricing for Nepal yet.
