Tribhuvan University (TU) has set aside a budget of Rs. 12.5 million for its Human Resource Development Program during the current fiscal year. The allocated funds will be used to deliver structured induction and professional development training to 775 university teachers and administrative employees.
The training schedule and financial plan received formal approval during the annual meeting of the Human Resource Development and Welfare Council, which was organized by TU's Coordination Division on Friday. The council sanctioned upcoming training initiatives across nine specific thematic modules.
Focus on Leadership and Professional Ethics
The meeting was presided over by TU Rector Prof. Dr. Anjana Singh. It was decided that freshly appointed faculty members and staff will receive orientation sessions covering the university's organizational setup, official working procedures, code of conduct, as well as their institutional rights and responsibilities.
Furthermore, the university will roll out need-based skill enhancement workshops for administrative staff. The program also prioritizes cultivating strategic leadership and administrative skills among key university officials, including campus chiefs, department heads, and senior leaders.
Modernizing Operations via Artificial Intelligence and IT
To upgrade workplace efficiency, the approved coursework will incorporate practical training in artificial intelligence (AI), information technology infrastructure, and modern office management techniques. Through these measures, Tribhuvan University intends to strengthen the professional competence of its workforce and drive administrative excellence across its network.
