Anker has expanded its premium audio lineup with the debut of its flagship true wireless earbuds, the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max, launched alongside the Liberty 5 Pro. Tailored for audiophiles and power users, the new earbuds bring an innovative touchscreen charging case, AI-powered tools, and high-resolution sound performance.
Design and Build
The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max features a comfortable, slightly curved oval in-ear design suited for long listening sessions and daily use. To ensure a tight seal and personalized fit, it comes packaged with 5 silicone ear tip sizes and 3 ear wing sizes. Additionally, the earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Departing from traditional clamshell designs, the charging case features a slide-open mechanism and houses a 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen on the lid. Through this screen, users can set custom wallpapers, control audio playback, switch noise cancellation modes, and trigger AI voice recording without needing to open the phone app every time.
Audio Quality and Noise Cancellation
At its core, the Liberty 5 Pro Max utilizes a 9.2mm Wool-Paper diaphragm driver and supports the LDAC codec for high-resolution wireless streaming on compatible devices. Sound performance can be personalized using HearID 5.0, which tailors the audio output according to the user's unique hearing profile.
For noise control, the earbuds rely on Adaptive ANC 4.0, which automatically adjusts suppression levels based on surrounding environments. A dedicated transparency mode is also available, allowing ambient sound in when needed.
AI Recording, Calls, and Connectivity
Voice calls are handled by an 8-microphone setup paired with dual Voice Processing Units (VPUs) to isolate the user's voice from background noise. In terms of connectivity, the earbuds support Bluetooth 6.1 multipoint pairing for up to three devices at once.
One of the key features is the onboard AI voice recording function, accessible directly from the charging case. Recorded audio can be transcribed and summarized into text using cloud-based AI, requiring an active internet connection on the paired smartphone. The transcription service currently supports English, German, Chinese, and Japanese. Soundcore includes 120 minutes of free monthly AI transcription for the first 24 months, after which extra usage is charged.
Battery Life and Price in Nepal
The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max offers up to 6.5 hours of continuous playback with ANC enabled, and up to 28 hours total when paired with the charging case. Fast charging provides up to 4 hours of listening time from just a 5-minute charge.
