With smartphone prices rising globally, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE lands in Nepal at approximately Rs. 1,20,000 (and INR 79,999 in India). Given the soaring prices of top-tier devices like the iPhone 17, this pricing makes the S26 FE a compelling option for those seeking high-end performance without paying full flagship money.
Design and Build Quality
In terms of aesthetics, the Galaxy S26 FE sticks to a familiar design language, carrying over look and feel elements from the S25 FE and S24 FE. It features a sturdy glass sandwich construction reinforced by an aluminum frame, complete with an official IP68 rating for dust and water protection. While it closely resembles the standard Galaxy S26 from the front, the S26 FE utilizes a glossy rear panel rather than the refined matte finish found on pricier models. On the green color variant, fingerprint smudges remain largely unnoticeable even when used without a protective case.
Display Performance and Features
The display continues to be one of Samsung's biggest strengths. Coming off recent use of the Pixel 11 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra, the rich color tuning and impressive outdoor peak brightness on the S26 FE stand out immediately. HDR playback works properly across major streaming apps, and touch response is fast and reliable.
However, Samsung has made a few minor concessions to maintain this price point. The screen lacks LTPO technology, meaning it only switches between 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates rather than dynamically dropping lower to conserve battery. Furthermore, the minimum display brightness isn't quite as low as the regular Galaxy S26, making it slightly bright in pitch-black rooms even with the Extra Dim setting toggled on. Biometric security uses a standard optical fingerprint scanner instead of an ultrasonic sensor, and the bottom bezel remains slightly thicker than the other three sides. Despite these minor trade-offs, the overall visual package remains excellent for the price tag.
