Motorola has expanded its budget 5G portfolio in Nepal with the arrival of the Moto G64 5G. This new G-series smartphone brings a brand-new MediaTek processor, robust battery capacity, and feature-packed camera setup to Nepali buyers.
Design and Display
The Moto G64 5G features Motorola's traditional design layout, highlighted by a pronounced squircle camera module on the back. Built using a 3D Premium PMMA material, the device carries an IP52 rating for water repellency. Up front, it sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. While the panel delivers fluid visuals, noticeable bezels are present around the display, particularly along the bottom chin. Color options in Nepal include Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Ice Lilac.
Performance and Software
Powering the smartphone is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, making the Moto G64 5G the first device globally to debut this processor. It is an octa-core platform with a peak frequency of 2.5GHz, acting as an overclocked edition of the Dimensity 7020. The phone comes in two storage configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM and 12GB RAM with 256GB ROM, both expandable up to 1TB via microSD.
On the software front, it runs Android 14 topped with Motorola's My UX interface. Motorola guarantees one major Android operating system upgrade along with three years of security updates.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the Moto G64 5G houses a dual rear camera system. The primary sensor is a 50MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Quad Pixel technology that yields 12.5MP effective photos. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide lens that functions as a macro camera. A 16MP shooter sits on the front for selfies and face unlock.
The device is backed by a massive 6,000 mAh battery capable of 30W TurboPower fast charging, while Motorola includes a 33W charger in the box.
Connectivity and Price in Nepal
Additional features include dual stereo speakers, dual microphones, a hybrid SIM slot, region-dependent eSIM support, 5G cellular connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, six-way navigation, a USB 2.0 Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. NFC support is notably absent.
The Moto G64 5G price in Nepal starts at NPR 29,999 for the base variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs NPR 30,999. It is available for purchase across mobile retail outlets nationwide.
