Dyson has entered the oral hygiene space with the official release of its first electric toothbrush, the Dyson CameraJet. Retailing at USD 699, this high-tech toothbrush brings a unique approach to daily brushing by combining a tiny built-in camera with machine learning technology.
In-Mouth AI Camera and Optical Targeting
The headline feature of the Dyson CameraJet is its integrated camera powered by a 100,000-pixel macro lens. Working alongside the MyDyson app, it streams live video from inside the user's mouth to highlight hard-to-see places. Additionally, the device uses Dyson's Gap Optical Targeting system. Backed by machine learning algorithms, the system evaluates real-time camera footage to spot gaps between teeth where plaque tends to collect, helping guide users toward spots needing deeper care.
Sonic Cleaning Performance and Targeted Jet
For brushing mechanics, the toothbrush operates at nearly 1,000 movements per second using variable sonic oscillation, which shifts bristle angles to avoid stalling on teeth. The standard Dual Bristle head integrates firm inner bristles for surface stain removal and soft outer bristles for gumline care, alongside an optional Sensitive brush head. Every brush head houses an embedded RFID tag that monitors wear and notifies users when it is time for a replacement.
To clean between teeth, the toothbrush features a built-in 12.5ml mouthrinse tank and a high-pressure jet system. When AI identifies a gap between teeth, it delivers a precise 1-millisecond conical jet of mouthwash within 100 milliseconds. The included dock recharges the battery, holds the unit upright, and can replenish the mouthwash reservoir in about three seconds at the touch of a button.

The device comes in Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink color options and includes a protective travel case. Wireless connectivity features include 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for syncing with the MyDyson app, offering interactive guided brushing, coverage mapping, and cleaning insights. To safeguard privacy, Dyson confirms the camera functions exclusively during live viewing or active jet cycles, with zero images saved locally or uploaded to cloud storage.
