Overview and Design
Dell has refreshed its midrange lineup with the new Dell 14 Plus and Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 (2025) laptops. Designed for students, professionals, and daily users, these machines offer a solid mix of portability and utility. The 2-in-1 model features a 360-degree hinge for flexible usability modes. Both models feature a plastic build that has undergone military-grade durability testing. They weigh around 1.55 kg and measure 17mm in thickness, making them convenient to carry around.
Display and Audio Features
The laptops feature a 14-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and an anti-glare coating, with a higher-resolution 2560 x 1600 option available as well. While the screen provides clear visuals for indoor productivity, outdoor viewing in direct sunlight remains somewhat limited. For video calls, there is a 1080p webcam paired with dual-array microphones, along with 5W downfiring stereo speakers for sound output.
Performance and Hardware
Powering these devices are Intel’s Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V and AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors. Three configuration options are currently available in the Nepali market: Core Ultra 7 256V and Core Ultra 7 258V (both featuring 8 cores, 8 threads, and a 4.8 GHz boost clock), as well as the Ryzen AI 7 350 (8 cores, 16 threads, up to 5 GHz boost). They support up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Packed with powerful NPUs and integrated graphics, these laptops handle everyday tasks with ease and can manage light gaming titles such as Valorant and League of Legends.
Connectivity and Battery Life
In terms of ports, you get one Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 7, and biometrics are handled by an integrated fingerprint scanner. Battery life is supported by a 64 Wh cell that Dell claims offers up to 22 hours of local video playback, paired with a 65W USB-C charger included in the box.
