Acer has officially launched the 2025 iteration of its Predator Helios Neo 16 AI gaming laptop in Nepal. Powering this new model are Intel's latest Core Ultra processors alongside NVIDIA's RTX 50-series graphics cards. Here is a detailed look at the full specifications, design, cooling, and features of the newly arrived gaming machine.
Intel Arrow Lake CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 50-Series GPUs
The 2025 Helios Neo 16 AI is available in two core processor configurations based on Intel's Arrow Lake-HX architecture: the flagship Core Ultra 9 275HX featuring 24 cores and a max turbo speed of 5.4 GHz, and the Core Ultra 7 255HX offering 20 cores up to 5.2 GHz. Both processors integrate a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to streamline AI tasks like background blur and audio enhancement. Intel Application Optimization is also built-in to lower latency and boost gaming performance.
For graphics, the Ultra 9 configuration comes paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti featuring 12GB of VRAM, whereas the Ultra 7 model carries an RTX 5060 GPU with 8GB VRAM. Built on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture, these laptops support DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, ray reconstruction, G-SYNC, Advanced Optimus, a MUX switch, and NVIDIA Studio driver certification.
Display, Memory, and Storage
Gamers can choose between two 16-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) displays with a smooth 240Hz refresh rate. One option is a vibrant OLED panel with 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, while the alternative is an IPS LED-backlit display delivering 500 nits of peak brightness. Both display configurations support Advanced Optimus, G-SYNC, and hardware MUX switching.
The laptop supports up to 64GB of user-upgradable dual-channel DDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz, with 16GB and 32GB standard variants. Storage configurations go up to a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD, alongside extra M.2 internal slots for memory expansion.
Cooling, Build, and Connectivity
Thermal management is driven by 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans (just 0.05 mm thin), liquid metal thermal compound on the CPU, and vector heat pipes. System power and fan profiles can be adjusted using Acer’s PredatorSense 5.0 application, which also houses the AI Experience Zone for controlling PurifiedVoice 2.0 noise reduction and PurifiedView 2.0 webcam features.
The keyboard includes 4-zone RGB lighting with optional MagKey 4.0 mechanical switches on the WASD and directional keys. Connectivity features include Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675, Bluetooth 5.4, Killer Ethernet E3100G, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader, RJ-45, and a 3.5mm jack. Weighing roughly 2.22 kg with a thickness under 19.9 mm (18.9 mm for the Helios Neo 16S AI model), it packs a 90Wh battery with fast DC-in charging support. Purchases also include 3 months of PC Game Pass with EA Play.
