How this works

WACC = total invested (quantity × price, summed across every lot) ÷ total quantity - the same formula used across NEPSE broker tools. Right shares are added as a normal lot at their discounted offer price; bonus shares are added at price 0, which pulls your average down. Capital gains tax (FY 2083/84): 10% if held 365 days or less, 7.5% if held longer, and a flat 10% for institutional investors - it's a final withholding tax deducted automatically at settlement, so no separate filing is needed for it.

FY 2083/84 CGT rates were raised this year from the older 7.5%/5% figures (Finance Act 2083) - confirmed by two independent finance-law sources, not a primary IRD circular. This tool doesn't include broker commission, SEBON fee, or DP charges in cost basis. Verify your exact WACC in MeroShare/CDSC before making decisions.
