ZTE Corporation, a prominent Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment manufacturer alongside veteran brands like Nokia and Motorola, has made an official return to the Nepali smartphone market. Having initially entered Nepal in 2016 before stepping away, ZTE is back under the stewardship of its authorized national distributor, Jagadamba Mobiles Pvt. Ltd. The brand re-enters the market with its budget-friendly ZTE Blade A series and mid-range Nubia devices.
ZTE Blade A35e
Serving as an entry-level budget option, the ZTE Blade A35e comes with a plastic rear build featuring an 8MP single primary camera. Upfront, it displays a 6.52-inch LCD+ screen with 1280x576 pixels resolution, framed by slim side bezels and slightly thicker top and bottom chins. Powering the device is a 1.6GHz Unisoc SC9863A1 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. Running on Android 14 Go edition, the phone is backed by a 5000mAh battery charged via a USB-C port. Connectivity options include 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and FM radio support through a 3.5mm headphone jack.
ZTE Blade A55
The ZTE Blade A55 upgrades the display to a 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 28nm Unisoc SC9863A1 processor (4x1.6 GHz Cortex-A55 & 4x1.2 GHz Cortex-A55) running Android 14 Go edition. On the rear, it features a square camera module housing a 13MP primary sensor with Autofocus alongside a secondary lens, complemented by a 5MP front camera for selfies.
