Vivo has silently added a new smartphone, the Vivo Y32, to its official website in Nepal, hinting at an imminent local launch. The handset previously made its debut in Bangladesh. Note that while Vivo introduced a smartphone under the same moniker back in 2021, this new release is a completely distinct device rather than a re-release or successor.
Design and Display
The Vivo Y32 is a substantial device, measuring 169.55 × 79.20mm with slight thickness variations depending on the chosen color option. Weighing approximately 229 to 230 grams, it features a durable composite plastic rear panel designed for everyday practical use. Additionally, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Up front, the smartphone sports a large 6.87-inch LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels. The display supports a fast 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness in HBM, an 83% NTSC color gamut, and a pixel density of 255 PPI.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T7300 chipset built on a 6nm architecture. The processor features two performance cores running at up to 2.2GHz alongside six efficiency cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. Memory configurations include 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, combined with UFS 2.2 or eMMC 5.1 storage. Users can also expand the RAM virtually by up to 4GB, while storage is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. Vivo claims up to 50 months of smooth system performance, with specific gaming and AI tools available on the 6GB RAM variant.
Camera and Battery Capabilities
For optics, the Vivo Y32 comes with a dual rear camera system comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. An 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls, complemented by built-in AI Erase software features.
The main highlight of the phone is its massive 8,000mAh battery, paired with 44W FlashCharge support. Vivo claims the battery provides up to 36.6 hours of video playback, 57.7 hours on Spotify, or 59 hours of 4G calls. The battery is designed to retain roughly 80% of its original capacity even after 1,500 full charge cycles. Connectivity features include 4G, dual-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
