Tecno Mobile in Nepal: History and Brand Overview
Tecno Mobile was established in 2006 under Shenzhen-based Transsion Holdings, positioning itself as a higher-tier brand above sister labels Itel and Infinix. After building a strong footprint in Africa since 2008, Tecno expanded into South Asia in 2017. The brand initially entered Nepal in 2017 via Mahalaxmi Mobiles, paused local operations in late 2018, and made a return in late 2020 through the same distributor. Today, Tecno continues to introduce diverse budget and midrange smartphones in the country.
