Samsung has officially expanded its wireless audio lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy Buds On, marking the tech giant's first foray into clip-on open-ear earbuds. Departing from traditional in-ear fitment, these earbuds wrap around the outer ear using a flexible band that leaves the ear canal open while holding the battery and drivers securely in place.
Design and Audio Features
Offered in a single Black color option, the Galaxy Buds On focuses on ergonomic comfort. Samsung widened the contact surface to distribute pressure evenly, ensuring a comfortable fit for extended wear. The open design allows users to remain attentive to their surroundings during outdoor activities like walking or running, while simple touch gestures on the back control music and calls.
Audio performance is driven by TwinBoost speakers engineered to improve low-frequency bass, addressing a common weakness in open-ear wearables. Samsung also included Audio Leakage Reduction technology so you can listen privately in quiet spaces like libraries or cafes. Additionally, an automatic volume feature adjusts sound output according to ambient noise levels.
Performance and Smart AI Functions
Under the hood, the Galaxy Buds On is powered by the Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform and utilizes an energy-efficient Class-D amplifier. Clear communication is handled by Samsung's Intelligent Clear Call system, which combines three microphones, a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) sensor, and machine learning to isolate your voice from ambient noise.
On the smart features front, users can long-press the touch zone to activate Quick Voice Memo and search recordings via Bixby. Head gestures allow answering calls or silencing alarms with simple nods or shakes. When paired with a compatible Galaxy smartphone, the earbuds also support Galaxy AI Interpreter for real-time translations.
Battery and Expected Price in Nepal
The earbuds provide up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge, with extra battery capacity built into the case. Charging options include standard wireless charging as well as Wireless PowerShare from supported Galaxy devices.
Having launched officially in South Korea at KRW 299,000, the Samsung Galaxy Buds On is expected to arrive in other global markets soon, where tech enthusiasts in Nepal await local availability and official pricing details.
