Samsung has expanded its mid-range lineup in Nepal with the launch of the Galaxy A37 5G. Maintaining a design language nearly identical to its predecessor, the Galaxy A36, the handset features a glass front and back combined with a durable plastic frame. It retains an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and is offered in Black, Gray-green, Lavender, and White color choices, though the White option is currently not available in the local market.
Display and Build Quality
The device sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display delivering a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and an 86.5% screen-to-body ratio. While it lacks LTPO technology, the panel offers impressive brightness, reaching 1,200 nits in outdoor conditions and peaking at 1,900 nits for HDR content. Screen protection is handled by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, though it skips HDR10+ support found on higher-tier models like the Galaxy A57.
Performance and Software
The most notable upgrade in the Galaxy A37 5G lies under the hood. Moving away from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip used in the previous model, Samsung has integrated its own Exynos 1480 processor. The updated chipset delivers smoother UI navigation and better performance under sustained loads. Users can choose configurations with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software side, it runs One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box, backed by six years of guaranteed OS updates.
Camera and Battery
Camera hardware remains unchanged from the prior generation. It includes a triple rear setup featuring a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera, alongside a 12MP front sensor for selfies. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, which can replenish up to 60% battery in 30 minutes. Note that Samsung does not include a charging adapter in the box.
