On the occasion of its ninth anniversary, the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences has officially operationalized its modern Cath Lab service. This key development substantially strengthens the academy's overall capacity to offer specialized cardiac care, including the accurate diagnosis and treatment of various heart ailments.
The establishment of this catheterization laboratory is expected to provide immense relief to residents in Dang and neighboring districts. Local patients will no longer need to undertake long, arduous journeys to distant medical centers in major cities to receive essential cardiac care and specialized interventions.
Focus on Accessible Quality Care
Attending the anniversary ceremony as a chief speaker, Health Minister Nisha Mehta stated that the new facility would make a vital contribution to boosting regional health infrastructure. She stressed the importance of ensuring that the academy’s services remain efficient, high-quality, and community-centered, allowing citizens to receive top-tier medical assistance right in their home region.
Expansion into a 400-Bed Facility
During the program, discussions were also held regarding strategic plans to upgrade the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences into a comprehensive 400-bed hospital facility. Minister Mehta pledged that the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene will provide all required coordination, policy support, and resources to assist the institution in expanding its infrastructure and operational services.
