Design and Build
OPPO has officially brought a new addition to its A-series lineup in the Nepali market with the release of the OPPO A6k 4G. Aimed at users seeking extended battery life, the device features a durable plastic body designed to be drop-resistant and shock-resistant. It also holds an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating. The smartphone is offered in three color variants: Twilight Blue, Seashell White, and Dawn Gold.
Display and Performance
The phone comes equipped with a 6.75-inch flat LCD panel offering HD+ resolution. It features a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and everyday interaction, along with a peak brightness mode reaching up to 1,125 nits for fair outdoor legibility.
Powering the device is a 6nm Snapdragon 685 4G processor. It is coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers up to 256GB of storage space. The chipset comfortably handles social media applications and light tasks, though heavier games such as PUBG will require lower graphics configurations for smooth gameplay. Out of the box, the handset operates on Android 15 with ColorOS 15.0 on top. While official software upgrade policies haven't been confirmed, it is anticipated to receive up to 2 major OS updates and 3 years of security patches.
Camera and Battery
For photography, the rear panel includes a main camera alongside a secondary monochrome sensor. Upfront, a 5MP (f/2.2) selfie shooter is positioned inside a hole-punch cutout, capable of capturing up to 1080p videos at 30 fps.
The central feature of the OPPO A6k is its massive 6,500 mAh battery, capable of powering the phone for multiple days under typical usage. The device supports 45W wired fast charging, which can provide around 2 hours of video streaming from a short 5-minute top-up.
